Depaul Sheffield Homes for Sale

Depaul Aheffield Homes for SaleAt the upper end of the listing spectrum of homes for sale in Depaul-Sheffield, you’ll find single family homes - some newer, custom-built and some beautifully restored historic homes - at just shy of $3.5 million and below. These beauties typically have five or more bedrooms and just as many and often more bathrooms. Square footage is palatial, upwards of 4,500 square feet.

Smaller, detached single-family homes and condos with two and three bedrooms and at least two baths, generally from 1,300 to 2,400 square feet, are also available on the lower end of the sphere and have the same range of construction as the upper end – a mix of newer homes and period, architecturally detailed gems. In the middle range from the mid-$600,000’s to roughly $850,000, some buildings offer additional units for rental income or space for a separate business office, and housing options include row houses and duplexes. Select homes have parking for rent in the neighborhood, while others feature detached or attached garages with space for multiple cars.

Regardless of your price point, the Sheffield Neighborhood Association has done a commendable job exercising architectural control over the building in the community over the last half century to ensure that new construction includes the character and detail of classic, vintage homes that have stood since the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. This seamless cohesion between new and historic creates an interesting and pleasing urban landscape in the Depaul Sheffield neighborhood.
